MIKE KIRDA

Mike has been in the hobby since 1991. His first tank, an All-Glass 75 gallon was going continuously for ten years. In his recent move he graduated to an Oceanic 120 gallon Reef Ready system complete with basement sump. An avid early reader of rec.aquaria (predecessor to RAMR), Mike has been a frequent contributor to Reef-l and Reefkeepers mailing lists. His other hobby is underwater photography.

ABSTRACT:
How Far off Are We From Reef Values?

Looking at published and personally collected values of various parameters, I will compare them to measurements in various tanks in the greater Chicagoland area to see how close we are to normal reef values of these parameters. These will include light intensity and various nutrient levels.
