Scientific name: Diplomystus dentatus (First
described by Professor Cope in 1877) Age: Eocene
(50 million years old) Formation: Green River
Location: Kemmerer, Wyoming
Size: Skeleton is 5” long (12.5 cm.)
Oak frame: 10” x 12” (25 cm. x 31 cm.)
Comments: This genus of freshwater fish first
evolved during the Age of Dinosaurs (Cretaceous).
It became very prolific during the Eocene and
became extinct in the Miocene, 16 million years
ago. Specimen is 100% ready to hang on the wall.

by Steindachner in 1859) Common name: Angelfish
Age: Middle Cretaceous (100 million years old)
Formation: Sublithographic Limestone Location:
Haqel, Lebanon
Size: Specimen is 2 1/4” long (57 mm.) Matrix:
4” x 3” (10 cm. x 7 cm.)
Comments: Wonderful, exotic fish skeleton with
superb detail and color contrast with matrix.
Numerous insect larvae are also fossilized on
this limestone slab.
